Here is a log of some of my thoughts on life and the universe
My spiritual journey took off when I was 15 years old - Some years previous I had begun to discover what the Bible had to say about who Jesus was and how his actions long long ago could possibly change my life.
To cut a long story short on 18th Feb 1977 I became a born again Christian. A simple prayer asking for forgivness and promising to commit my life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ . My name entered God’s book of Life. My whole experince since then has been wholly based on the holy scriptures - The very bible itself.
My beliefs ...
- God is real and is sole creator of this planet and all that exists upon it.
- Jesus, God’s only son was born into this world with a mission to go to a cruel death on an execution Roman cross some 2000 years ago.
- I firmly believe that act of sacrifice by the Son of God was for the salvation of mankind and to make a way whereby man ( and woman) can make their peace with a Holy righteous God.
- I lay no claim to being good nor have I ever done anything that would grant me a right to be in God’s presence. Yet I know that I have been accepted into God’s family and now have a right to share in the abundance of heaven when I leave this world at the end of my life.
The bible scriptures which back up my belief....
- John Chapter 3 verse 16 and 17
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
- John Chapter 14 verse 6
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me
- Romans Chapter 5 verse 8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us
- 1 John Chapter 1 verse 9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
